Microsoft is working to bring native RGB control support to Windows 11 for PC gaming accessories. This feature will allow gamers and ordinary users to customize their gadgets using regular tools without resorting to installing third-party software.
Twitter user @thebookisclosed noticed new options in the system settings for the backlight mode in the latest test build of Windows 11. They are related to gadgets and allow you to control brightness and color, as well as various lighting effects. All these options are integrated into the interface of the operating system, there is even a function that synchronizes the backlight of the game accessory with Windows 11 accent colors.

The addition of built-in RGB lighting controls means that Windows 11 users won’t need to install apps from Razer, Corsair, Logitech, and other gaming accessory makers to get this feature. Microsoft has yet to officially announce this innovation, but the company is currently working on a number of experimental features that are expected to appear in a larger Windows 11 update later this year.
In addition to this feature, Windows 11 will soon receive support for third-party widgets, which can already be tested in the latest Insider builds. Also expected is an updated File Explorer, an improved volume control, and a tabbed Notepad.
