Windows 7, 4 GB RAM and a 2010 graphics card: Blizzard announced system requirements for Diablo Immortal

Just yesterday, April 25, Activision Blizzard officially announced that the new role-playing game Diablo Immortal will be released not only on smartphones running Android and iOS, but also on PC. And today, Blizzard Entertainment employees on the project’s official page in the Battle.net store published the game’s system requirements, which turned out to be very low. However, this was to be expected, because the project was originally created for smartphones, which, although they have recently become very productive, are still far from the PC level. And the desire to capture the largest possible audience also probably played a role.

Minimum system requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i3 / AMD FX-8100 or higher
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / AMD Radeon HD 6850 / Intel HD Graphics 530 or higher;
  • RAM: 4 GB;
  • OS: Windows 7, 8, 10, 11.

Given the above requirements for a PC, literally anyone with a computer that was purchased in 2010 or later will be able to play. Even discrete graphics are optional, and support for the long-deprecated Windows 7 also speaks volumes. The publisher clearly wants to give a chance to try their luck in a shareware game with donations even to those whose system has not been upgraded for a decade.

Recommended system requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 or higher
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 / AMD Radeon RX 470 or higher
  • RAM: 8 GB;
  • OS: Windows 10, 11.

On the other hand, to launch a project at maximum graphics settings, you don’t need to have a powerful gaming PC either – a computer that was considered productive five to eight years ago will do just fine. In addition, it is worth recalling that the game also has very loyal requirements for the mobile platform. For example, iOS users need a smartphone from the iPhone 6s (introduced in 2015) and newer with an operating system no older than iOS 11.

The owners of Android smartphones also decided to please the democratic requirements for the system – you need a smartphone with at least Android 5.0 with a Snapdragon 660, Exynos 9611 processor or more powerful with 2 GB of RAM. Actually, a huge number of budget devices fit this list of characteristics, so the potential audience for Diablo Immortal is really huge.
