The Labor Party “will form a government in the next parliament,” said ABC electoral analyst Anthony Green. The leader of the conservative opposition, Peter Datton, lost his headquarters, according to public television on the basis of some results in his constituency. Both Australia’s two major parties focused on the pressure of living costs, but polls show that the global uncertainty stemming from Trump’s duties quickly turned into a major issue for voters during the election campaign.
