Wired Future Lab, new event dedicated to the ecological transition

Wired Future Lab, the free digital experience format open to all, returns with a new appointment that focuses on ecological transition. A theme that, from the COP26 on climate to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), is also increasingly at the center of the political agenda. And which is essential to win the global challenge to climate change.

The third appointment, scheduled for November 22nd from 2.30pm to 4.15pm in streaming on the dedicated website (futurelab-a2a.wired.it/), it is created in collaboration with A2A, a company that has embarked on a path of evolution from multiutility to “Life Company”: dealing with energy, water and the environment, the company takes care of the conditions necessary for life and its quality. To support this vision, in 2021 the Group launched its first business plan with a ten-year horizon, a long-term strategy that focuses on 16 billion euros of investments dedicated to industrial macro-trends of the circular economy and the energy transition.

Strategic actions, new operating models that can contribute to the ecological transition and sustainable development of the country will be at the center of the speech by the CEO and General Manager of A2A Renato Mazzoncini, who will open the event together with the director of Wired Italia Federico Ferrazza. To Mazzoncini, author of the volume Inversion to E. Individual behaviors and technological development for sustainable mobility (Egea, 2021), the task of also illustrating which energy and environmental choices can concretely direct us towards a future with zero emissions. There will also be space to talk about new mobility trends together with Michele Bertoncello, Partner e co-lead del McKinsey Center for Future Mobility, mentre con Rossella Muroni, deputy and vice-president of the Environment and Territory Commission of the Chamber, we will address the issue of electrification and the rules necessary to guide actions and investments in the sector in line with the sustainability objectives of the energy transition. With Fabio Pressi, CEO of A2A E-Mobility e Gabriele Grea, Fellow of Green (Center for Research in Geography, Resources, Environment, Energy and Networks) of Bocconi University, we will discover how the success of intelligent mobility projects is also linked to the ability of the various stakeholders in the supply chain to develop new and unthinkable business models until a few years ago.

Finally, together with the Limes International Relations Manager Fabrizio Maronta, we will analyze the complex and strategic relationship that unites the geopolitical framework with energy dynamics, while with Filippo Santoni de Sio, associate professor of Ethics of Technology at the University of Delft, we will reflect on how the current revolution requires a profound reflection on ethics at the time of the great technological acceleration.
