U.S. exchange-traded fund provider WisdomTree has developed new ETPs with support from Polkadot, Cardano and Solana.
Cryptocurrency Exchange Products (ETPs) will allow WisdomTree to expand its business in Europe. The company announced this on its website today. The new ETPs are called WisdomTree Solana (SOLW), WisdomTree Cardano (ADAW), and WisdomTree Polkadot (DOTW). They are already listed on major European digital exchanges such as the Swiss Stock Exchange, the SIX Exchange and Xetra Deutsche Boerse. It is reported that this Thursday in Paris and Amsterdam, the listing of cryptocurrency products will be carried out by the Euronext exchange.
Cryptocurrency products will give European investors access to Polkadot, Solana and Cardano through regulated exchanges. The new ETPs will be available for sale in most European cities. The company previously launched the WisdomTree Crypto Mega Cap ETP Equal Weight backed by Bitcoin and Ether.
According to the head of the European branch of WisdomTree Alexis Marinof (Alexis Marinof), new cryptocurrency products are aimed at meeting the growing demand from institutional investors for the diversification of the cryptocurrency portfolio.
“Altcoins are becoming a more viable asset option for many institutional investors and provide more opportunities for crypto asset diversification,” said Marinof.
Hong Kong-based Huobi Tech has previously filed an application to launch a cryptocurrency-pegged traded fund with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
