Brazil recorded 166,009 cases and 1,135 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) this Friday (11).
The moving averages of infections and deaths were 144,240 and 951, respectively. This is the highest moving average of deaths in 2022. The moving average of cases was low for the second day in a row.
Moving average indices consider data from the last seven days and are used to avoid distortions due to underreporting on weekends.
With the update, the country has a total of 27,285,509 cases and 637,152 victims of the disease since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
Health announces purchase of 2 million doses of pediatric vaccines from Pfizer
The Ministry of Health announced this Friday (11) the contracting of another 2 million doses of pediatric vaccines from Pfizer. The doses should arrive later this month to make it possible to advance in the vaccination of children.
