With 195 deaths from Covid in 24 hours, the country has the lowest moving average since January 17

Brazil recorded, in the last 24 hours, 195 deaths and 27,120 cases of Covid-19, according to data released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) this Wednesday (6).

The moving average of deaths, falling, reached 174 — the lowest number since January 17, when the index was 154. The average number of cases reached 21,559. These are the lowest records in the country, after the Ômicron outbreak that led to an increase in cases and deaths from the disease between January and February.

The indices consider the average number of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days. The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

As a result, the country has recorded 30,067,249 cases and 660,723 deaths from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
