São Paulo has an endless and always renewed scene of restaurants . But the truth is that everyone has that list of favorite addresses, which they make a point of going through in short periods of time and which has already boasted the menu.
The impression you get when entering the pier restaurant at Vila Madalena , is that it is one of those “favorite” addresses for many. It is not uncommon to see the team greet some visitors more affectionately, already knowing the preferences and even the names of others.
What does that mean? Very. In a city with so many options, you can be sure that it’s not just the friendly service and the small and charming atmosphere, with low light, few tables, a popular counter and a pleasant balcony that wins over a loyal audience – although, of course, it helps very!
the name of the house, pier already sets the tone of what to expect: fish and seafood, but which arrive in daring dishes, in an authentic proposal of the chef Adriano de Laurentiis next to your partner Guilherme Giraldi, responsible for the restaurant’s service and sommelier.
The menu is lean, there are 14 right options, with fish from sustainable fishing and lots of vegetables – which sometimes even steal the show. They also offer the “Banquet” option, which is a closed tasting menu to share (R$ 274 per person).

In four times, the Banquet dishes can vary according to the best products that the house has available each week, always starting with the house bread, kefir butter, sardela and marinated olives. Next, some Crudos arrive at the table, like the fresh oysters with mignonette; raw fish with tomato water and macadamias; and tuna with fennel, olives and pistachios.
Among the hot dishes, the prawns may appear; Fish of the day on the grill with sun-dried tomato butter; momotaro tomatoes with mini capers; and onion glazed with boursin and house-made brioche.
For those who don’t go to Banquete, some of the must-sees on the menu are the grilled squid with garlic cream (R$74); tuna with fennel, olives and pistachios (R$76); sheep’s cheese and caramelized onion empanadas (R$32); oysters with beurre blanc (R$39 with two units); leek au gratin with smoked ricotta (R$59); and the smoked blue fish, apple sauce and mashed potato (R$83).
For dessert they only offer one option, but it is a must: cheese tart with milk ice cream (R$39).

The wine list, curated by Guilherme, is updated frequently, prioritizing labels from small producers – mainly Brazilian – and privileging natural ones with little intervention mined by the partner.
