While some manufacturers are trying to surpass each other in terms of the characteristics of their flagships, the Taiwanese company ASUS has chosen a different path and decided to rely on design. Its new flagship ASUS ZenFone 8 series draws attention with its looks. So, one of the representatives of the family claims to be the smallest Android flagship on the market, while the other sports a PTZ camera, which it inherited from its predecessor.

The basic version of the new flagship ASUS can rightfully be considered the smallest flagship on the Android platform. Yes, it is slightly larger than the iPhone 12 mini, but more compact than the Sony Xperia 5 III, previously called the smallest flagship smartphone in the Android universe.
The smartphone offers a 5.9-inch AMOLED display from Samsung with Full HD + resolution and an integrated fingerprint scanner, a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, complemented by up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Asus hasn’t chased the number of cameras by installing a single 12MP selfie camera on the front and a dual main camera on the back with a 64MP main module and an additional 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. Other features of the novelty include a 4,000 mAh battery with 30 W fast charging, 5G support and two speakers with Cirrus Logic amplifiers (CS35L45) and Dirac HD sound support.
ASUS ZenFone 8 is already available to order in Taiwan and several European countries. Prices start at 670 euros (600 euros including a discount for first-time buyers).
