Written by Walter Salles (“I’m Still Here”), the film “The Film Accountant ” opens in theaters this Thursday (28). The production stars Bérénice Bejo Oscar-nominated actress for “The Artist”.
“The Movie Teller” follows the story of María Margarita, a girl who captivates the residents of a small town in the Atacama Desert with his talent for telling stories. She is the youngest of four siblings and, for her family, the most anticipated moment of the week is going to the cinema on Sundays.
However, after the father suffers an accident and the family income decreases only one of the children will be able to continue going to the cinema. María is chosen to watch the films and tell them revealing a special gift that transforms your life and that of everyone around you.
In addition to Bejo, the film’s cast includes Daniel Brühl (“The Franchise”), Antonio de La Torre (“The Candidate”) and Sara Becker (“Baby Bandito”).
Based on the best-selling book by the Chilean author Hernán Rivera Letelier production is directed by Lone Scherfig (“Education”). The script was written by Walter Salles in partnership with Isabel Coixet (“Um Amor”) and Rafa Russo (“Nothing to Lose”).
