With falling moving average of deaths, Brazil records 753 deaths from Covid in 24 hours

Brazil recorded 753 deaths and 73,808 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) this Saturday (26).

The country had a drop in the moving average of deaths for the sixth consecutive day, reaching 719, the lowest number since February 4, when the index was at 659.

The moving average of cases fell for the 17th day in a row, reaching 82,352 – the lowest number since January 18.

The moving averages consider the average of the numbers recorded in the last seven days and serve to monitor the indicators of the pandemic without any distortions caused by underreporting on weekends.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has recorded 28,744,050 cases of Covid-19 and 648,913 deaths from the disease.

Two years since the first confirmed case in the country
