With its premiere at SXSW, 40 years of the band Bon Jovi is the subject of a documentary

Closed streets, crowds of fans and lots of shouting: this scene outside the main block of the SXSW drew attention this Thursday afternoon (14). The reason for the commotion and security was the arrival of the band Bon Jovi on the red carpet at the Paramount Theater to launch the documentary “Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story ” (“Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story ”, in the original English).

During the event, the star Jon Bon Jovi spoke to CNN about the band's trajectory and the film recording.

“It was an opportunity to look back, to celebrate these 40 years that passed so quickly. I’m very proud of this journey we’ve been on together,” said Jon. “The ups and downs, the truth of each is present.”

When asked what has remained the same for him over so many years of his career, the answer was quick and good-humored: “Room service. Lots of hotels, same menu,” he said, without holding back his laughter.

Jon also said that what kept them together all these years was their faith in each other and the desire to continue following the same dream and to become better men and musicians.

Director Gotham Chopra joined the band in February 2022 and followed the coexistence of conflicts and celebrations, in addition to bringing together personal videos, unreleased demos, original lyrics and never-before-seen photos that chronicle the Jersey Shore Clubs' journey to the biggest stages on the planet.

The documentary will be released in April 26 , the date of the group's 40th anniversary. In the United States, the launch will be on Hulu. In Brazil, the responsible streaming service is Star+, which has already released a trailer for the production:
