North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during his current visit to North Korea, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The same ministry posted a photo of the two men on the Telegram during their meeting at the North Korean coastal city. This visit by a senior Russian official comes a month and a half after that of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Soigu in Pyongyang on the occasion of the first anniversary of a defensive agreement signed by the two countries. Russia and North Korea have deepened their relations due to the war in Ukraine.
