With the vaccination against Covid-19 of children in progress in ten capitals and the Federal District this Monday (17), the city of São Paulo should open the xepa of the vaccine to this public if there are any remaining doses.
The information was confirmed to CNN by the municipal secretary of Health, Edson Aparecido.
According to him, with the leftover doses, children from 5 to 11 years old without comorbidities can be immunized with the xepa vaccine.
To participate in xepa it is necessary to register a health unit and wait to be called for immunization. THE CNN requested a note to the Municipal Health Department.
The state of São Paulo was the first to vaccinate a child against the disease.
In a symbolic act, the indigenous Davi Seremramiwe, 8 years old, received the first dose of the immunizer last Friday (14).
The expectation is that Pfizer will deliver 20 million doses to Brazil by the end of March for the immunization of children.
