“We cannot destroy the country”, says Queiroga

However, according to Queiroga, we are experiencing a drop in deaths and the health system is ready to provide care.

Commenting on the strategies adopted by China, the minister said:

“China has been practicing these lockdowns since the beginning, and what was the result? In fact, President Bolsonaro from the beginning said that it is necessary to face the health problem but we also need to take care of our economy. We can’t destroy the country and have everyone locked in the house in fear. We have to live with the virus, it will not go extinct, we have to live with the disease and for that we have our health system”. Read more.
