According to secure information, the measure of imposing a 3% ceiling on commercial real estate will have retroactive effect from 01.01.2022.
Real estate management companies (AEEAP) are generally excluded from the ceiling measure. More details regarding the specialization of the measure will be announced later in the day by the Ministry of Development and Investment.
However, the goal of the competent minister, Adonis Georgiadis and his staff is to support small and medium entrepreneurship according to sources of capital.gr.
It should be noted that the president of GSEVEE, George Kavvathas welcomed the initiative of the government to proceed with this move from the podium of a relevant event of the Athens Chamber of Commerce.
This move initially provoked the reaction of investment property management companies (REITs), which were expressed earlier through relevant article that you read in Capital.gr. However, according to the same sources, these companies will be left out.
