Without data from 15 states, Brazil records 26 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

Brazil recorded 26 deaths and 15,590 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), released this Saturday (4).

The moving average of cases, up, was 29,669, and, of deaths, was 87 with this Saturday’s data.

Conass warns, however, that there is no record of data from 15 states due to technical problems in accessing the bases of the information system. The states are: Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.

The moving average considers the variation of contamination and deaths recorded in the last seven days, in addition to allowing the monitoring of pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

In total, Brazil has registered 31,153,069 cases and 666,997 victims of the disease since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
