Even without data from seven states, the moving average of Covid-19 cases recorded a growth of 3.3% compared to the previous week’s moving average (07/03 to 07/09). The numbers were released this Saturday (16) by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass ).
According to the municipality, in addition to the Federal District, the states of Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima and Tocantins kept the numbers from the previous day “due to technical problems in accessing the information systems databases”.
On Friday (15), the moving average of deaths, which considers the last seven days, reached 250. The last time the indicator was above 250 was on March 25 of this year, when the index stood at 253.
This Saturday, the moving average of deaths ended at 249 deaths from Covid-19 in seven days. This number represents a decrease of -0.6% in relation to the moving average of this Friday (Friday and over the previous six days) and a growth of 2.7% in relation to the moving average of the previous week (03/07 to 07/09).
These numbers allow the monitoring of the epidemiological situation without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends or problems in accessing the databases.
According to Conass data, Brazil recorded, in the last 24 hours, 205 deaths and 40,149 infections by the coronavirus.
With the update, the country has 675,295 fatalities and 33,290,266 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
