Sony is gearing up to launch its 2021 line of smartphones. It should be headed by the flagship model Sony Xperia 1 III. New details about her appeared on the network, complemented by high-quality images and a presentation video.

According to the source, the Sony Xperia 1 III looks almost unchanged from its predecessor, the Sony Xperia 1 II. The screen diagonal will remain 6.5-inch, but the frames can be reduced, due to which the dimensions of the smartphone will also be slightly reduced. The image refresh rate will increase to 120 Hz.
The design of the triple camera will also be preserved, and cooperation with the German manufacturer Zeiss will continue. This is the first time Sony is using a “periscope” module.
The smartphone will receive a 3.5 mm audio jack, which is now rare for flagships, stereo speakers with 360 Reality Audio support, IP68 water and dust protection, a fingerprint scanner in the power button on the right side, an 8 megapixel front camera in a rather thin upper frame.
The back panel will be glass, Sony is not going to switch to plastic for now, following the example of Samsung. A shutter button will appear on the side edge for convenient photography in horizontal mode.
Also noted are SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal flash memory, 5G support, Android 11 operating system.
The official debut of the new line of Sony smartphones is expected in March.
