At least seven people, including children, have been killed in the northern Indian city of Bahraich after wolf attacks over the past two months, a district administrative official said on Tuesday (27).
Residents of several villages in northern Uttar Pradesh state have been living in fear of continued attacks, officials said.
District authorities, including forestry officials and security forces, used drones and set traps on Wednesday (28) to track the animals.
Forest officials made announcements of precautionary measures in all villages and asked residents to sleep indoors for protection.
