The company’s goal for the Greek market is to strengthen its activity in retail, where it currently cooperates in addition to small supermarkets and groceries, with florists, butchers, bookstores and several other companies, being essentially a strong player and potential competitor of traditional supermarkets, thus gaining a share of the turnover from that market.

Thus, in its priorities for the near future is the expansion from restaurants to the retail sector, expanding partnerships with companies within the Wolt Market.

Four main operating pillars in the Greek market

According to sources close to the company, Wolt from the beginning of its operation in Greece three years ago until today has cooperated with 6,500 distributors and currently maintains 4,500 distributors in the delivery sector, as well as 200 staff.

Wolt’s central technology development base is located in Helsinki, while according to the same sources in Greece the company operates with four main axes of operation: that of sales, which is responsible for concluding agreements with stores such as restaurants and retail outlets, the marketing department. , the operating sector that is responsible for the distribution and the distributors as well as the technical support sector (support) with 24-hour responsibility for monitoring the proper operation of the Wolt platform and its services, while being responsible for resolving any problems that may arise.

A new dark store is coming to Glyfada

It should be noted that at the moment the company, in order to be able to serve the orders of the Wolt Market, has created three dark stores in Attica and specifically in Neos Kosmos, Maroussi and Peristeri and the operation of another one in Glyfada is imminent by the end of the year.

At the same time, it maintains another one in the Papafi area of ​​Thessaloniki. Its offices are located in Athens and Thessaloniki, while the administration of Greece under Dimitris Karelos, is responsible for two other countries, Cyprus and Malta.

Internationally, Wolt currently operates in 23 countries worldwide in Europe, Central Asia, Israel and Japan.
