A woman called the Military Police after having her vehicle stolen in Campo Mourão, in western Paraná, on Wednesday (18). However, after officers recovered the car, the woman ended up being arrested as she was carrying 710 kilos of marijuana.
The 32-year-old woman was driving a Fiorino on the PR-487 highway (known as Estrada da Boiadeira), when she was approached by robbers who ordered her to get off and took the car.
As the vehicle was rented, the Military Police was able to track the car with the help of the company’s monitoring, and found the vehicle abandoned on a rural road, in a neighborhood of Campo Mourão.
The police found the drug, divided into 47 bales, which the robbers unloaded on a rural property in the region. More than 700 kilos of marijuana were seized and delivered to the Campo Mourão police station.
The woman admitted that she was transporting drugs in the stolen car. She said she would take the cargo to Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, and receive R$10,000 for the transport.
