Woman dies after being assaulted by nightclub security and hit by car in Cascavel

A 28-year-old woman died after being assaulted and then run over by a car in Cascavel, in western ParanĂ¡, early on Sunday (28).

According to the Military Police (PM), Daiane de Jesus Oliveira was trying to enter a nightclub and the security guards began to attack her to stop her.

In the security camera footage of the scene, it is possible to see that a man pushes the young woman and knocks down a can that was in her hand. Afterwards, he kicks the drink onto the street and Daiane goes after him.

Then the security guard knocked the girl down and started kicking her. In the scene, there are two other employees of the nightclub: one of them watched while the other intervened at times to protect his colleague.

After the discussion, Daiane fell in the middle of the street when a car, at high speed, ran over her. A group of people who had just left the club tried to signal the car, but it wasn’t enough to stop the accident. According to the PM, the driver fled and the young woman died.

The Moonlight nightclub took a position through a post on a social network, saying that it repudiates any form of violence and that it removed the security guards involved. The team reported that it is at the disposal of Justice to collaborate with the investigations, and of the victim’s relatives, to provide the necessary support.

The Civil Police of ParanĂ¡ reported that it was at the scene and collected all the evidence necessary for the investigation. The corporation awaits the expert report and the images collected are being analyzed.

Daiane’s wake will be at the Mortuary Chapel of TupĂ£ssi and the burial will be at the Municipal Cemetery of TupĂ£ssi, this Monday (29).
