A British woman is being charged with 17 sexual offenses for cheating on a nearsighted teenager by posing as a man to have a relationship with the young girl.
The alleged abuser had a false profile on her networks, identifying herself as George Parry (@George_132), in which she also posted a photo of a blond man wearing sunglasses, but took advantage of the girl’s myopia so as not to be discovered.
According to him New York PostGeorgia Bilham deceived her alleged victim with her false identity, because for months they had communication through social networks, until they finally met in 2021.
However, to avoid discovery, Georgia always wore baggy clothes and a hoodie to hide her hair. In addition, she changed the tone of her voice, making it more serious. But that’s not all, because when they had intimate encounters, she asked the girl to remove her glasses so that he couldn’t see her, on the pretext that she had traumas due to supposed scars on her body; thus also prevented the young woman from touching her.
However, when the excited young woman introduced her mother to her boyfriend, the mother immediately suspected that it was actually a woman, for which she was reported. In her opening statement at trial, prosecutor Anna Pope laid out her case.
In sexual encounters, the woman implored her to remove her glasses, making it difficult for the minor to see, so she could only see shapes and movements, but not details, leaving her essentially blind. This is a case in which this defendant misled someone that he was, in fact, a young man. And that means that all of the sexual activity that took place between those two people was based on a false pretense and therefore did not involve true consent.
Finally, after being arrested, Georgia Bilham refused to answer investigators’ questions. She now faces 17 charges, including sexual assault and penetrative assault. However, the woman has denied all charges, but the trial is still ongoing.
