A woman was arrested red-handed for extort player Luiz Henrique Botafogo and the Brazilian team.
According to the Civil Police, she sent messages threatening to publicize intimate photos and videos if he did not receive R$20,000. The threats lasted four days until the arrest, which took place last Friday (29).
THE CNN found out that the arrested woman’s name was Raissa Cândida da Rocha and is the cousin of the attacker’s ex-wife, Ana Carolina Andrade.
Raissa charged between R$20,000 and R$40,000 from the athlete for possible intimate videos of the attacker which have not been seen or confirmed by the police so far, according to the athlete’s press office.
THE CNN had access to the messages sent by Raíssa to Luiz Henrique. She demands money from the player several times and insists that he couldn’t wait. See below .



The day after his arrest, Luiz Henrique scored the first goal of the victory that guaranteed Botafogo the Libertadores title.
The woman was charged with qualified extortion and criminal association. The Civil Police keep investigations confidential to identify others involved in the crime.
The athlete’s press office confirmed the information and states that “Luiz Henrique is focused on the next challenge for Brasileirão, happy with his professional and personal moment”.
THE CNN contacted Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas and is awaiting a response.
