A passenger, whose name was not disclosed, was arrested red-handed at Belo Horizonte International Airport, this Friday (04), in a joint action by the Federal Police and the Federal Revenue Service.
According to authorities, the woman was preparing to board a flight to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and her final destination was Istanbul, Turkey.
The drug was distributed in three suitcases and was discovered by sniffer dogs.
She was arrested red-handed and will be charged with international drug trafficking, potentially facing up to 25 years in prison.
