A woman was hit by a firearm shot on Saturday night (12), the event happened in the Passo da Pátria community in the East Zone of Natal (RN).
According to the Military Police, the victim was reportedly referred to Walfredo Gurgel Hospital, but could not resist the injuries and died. Calculated by CNN the victim is identified as Barbara Kelly do Nascimento.
In a video recorded by community residents, they claim that the woman would have been hit during a police action. A protest was performed in relation to the incident.
Images of the protest that occurred on Saturday (12) show that residents would have set fire to the streets due to the revolt after the victim’s death.
The Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Sesed), said that it is already investigating the facts, including the police procedures performed in the locality, and the death of a resident of the community.
The Civil Police with the Technical-Scientific Institute of Expertise (ITEP) also conduct investigations of the case.
