Woman killed by her husband participated in a TV show with him about couples

Promoter Amanda Caroline de Almeida, 31, who died after disappearing last Sunday (18), participated in a couple of couples at SBT, in November last year, with her ex-husband, Carlos Eduardo de Souza Ribeiro, who confessed to killing her and thrown the body of the victim on Rio Tietê. He remains in prison preventively.

The couple maintained a relationship for 16 years and had three children, 14, 7 and 5 years. They had been separated for about two months.

On the night of the crime, the event promoter had left her children at her ex-husband’s house to go out with a friend. Upon returning, he asked to be left a few blocks from home when he realized that Carlos Eduardo’s car was parked on the street.

Initially, the suspect stated that he did not know the whereabouts of the former partner and claimed that he had left the vehicle parked on site for mechanical problems. Faced with the videos, he eventually confessed to the crime.

A second person, who appears in the images helping Carlos carry the body, is sought by the Civil Police. Carlos Eduardo was arrested in the act for the crimes of femicide and concealment of the corpse.

In a statement, the defense of Carlos Eduardo de Souza Ribeiro said he and another suspect participated in a custody hearing and that the court decided to arrest the duo.

“The two suspects have fully cooperated with the authorities, demonstrating respectful and transparent behavior in all phases of the process,” the defense told CNN.

Friend lamented death

In a publication on Thursday morning (22), publicist Carol Mackert, friend of the victim, regretted her death and wrote: “Stop killing us.”
