The 33-year-old woman who was killed on Sunday (3) by her husband, a 36-year-old military police officer, had been married to her killer for just over six months.
According to publications made on the victim’s social network, Erika Satelis Ferreira de Lima, she married soldier Thiago Cesar de Lima at the end of May this year. On several occasions, she posted photos from the wedding rehearsal.
In September 2022, when she was already dating Thiago, Erika posted a text that said: “No relationship is about time. A person can date for 7 years, get married and it doesn’t work out, just as a person can date for 6 months, get married and it lasts a lifetime. It will never be about time, but about the person, the connection, respect and the way the relationship is built.”
In August last year, she posted photos taken at a gym and tagged the police officer. “Constancy/discipline and dedication. Thank you, love, Thiago Cesar, for the partnership.”
On Thiago’s profile, he also posted photos with statements to his wife. On June 8, he posted a photo kissing Erika’s hand, who commented: “You are my daily joy.”
Before his relationship with Erika, Thiago married another woman in 2015.
The case
Thiago was arrested after killing his wife during an argument that began in the car. The victim was taken to the hospital by the gunman himself, but he did not survive his injuries. The case occurred in Perus, in the north zone.
He told the police that he was with his wife in a car when they started arguing and then fired shots.
The case was registered as feminicide at the 4th Women’s Defense Police Station and the soldier was sent to the Romão Gomes Military Prison. The weapon used in the crime was seized.
Security cameras recorded the action. In the images, you can see the moment Erika opens the driver’s door, gets out and goes to the rear door on the opposite side. In the back seat is soldier Thiago, who was off duty.
The woman starts trying to force him out of the car, but she can’t. Seconds later, he gets out of the car and starts attacking her. The police officer punches Erika in the face a series of times and fires at least two shots at her. The woman staggers and falls to the ground.
The soldier gets into the car and turns the vehicle around, but stops again and begins trying to drag the victim to the vehicle. At this moment, residents come out of their homes and follow the action
