A shocking case of femicide concerns the police, as the perpetrator, after killing his wife, proceeded to post on Facebook and announce the crime he committed. In more detail, on the afternoon of January 18 in North Carolina, 63-year-old George Lesniak shot his 59-year-old wife Cathleen Lesniak. A few minutes later he posted in a Facebook group he maintained and shortly after that he turned the gun to his own head, ending his life. According to a New York Post report, George was a former vice president of Autel Automotive Intelligence USA, based in New York, and married for more than 34 years to Cathleen.
