Woman who accused Snoop Dogg of sexual abuse drops lawsuit against musician

An unidentified woman has withdrawn an open civil lawsuit against the rapper Snoop Doggin which she accuses the artist of sexual abuse and assault after attending one of her concerts in 2013, according to court documents.

The lawsuit against Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was dropped Wednesday, just over two months after it was filed in the Central District of California.

The woman is identified by the pseudonym Jane Doe, and is described as a dancer, model, presenter and actress who worked with Snoop Dogg. The musician, however, said the woman never worked for him.

The voluntary withdrawal of the suit also removed the charges against all other parties in the lawsuit, including Snoop Dogg’s corporate entity.

“It is not surprising that the plaintiff withdrew her complaint against the defendants. Her complaint was full of false allegations and shortcomings,” a rep for Snoop Dogg said in a statement.

Matt Finkelberg, an attorney for Jane Doen, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In the lawsuit, the woman accused the artist of entering a bathroom she was using, where he forced her to perform oral sex and masturbated in front of him.

Snoop Dogg denied the allegations through a spokesperson, calling them “simply without merit”, characterizing the action as part of a “enrichment scheme” ahead of his performance at the Super Bowl in February.
