Mineira Meirivone Rocha Moraes, who became known worldwide at the end of 2021 for having a wedding ceremony with a cloth doll, says she is “pregnant” for the second time with her “partner”. The couple had their first “son”, Marcelinho, last year, shortly after they got married.
According to her, the doll, called Marcelo, would have betrayed her and this “pregnancy” would be a reason to celebrate overcoming obstacles in the relationship.
To the British newspaper Daily Mail, Meirivone tells that she is very happy, because, this time, she is expecting a girl. “We really wanted to get pregnant again, Marcelo kept asking when we would have another baby. There were a few times when I felt nauseous, so I took a test, but it came back negative. However, I recently started feeling nauseous again, so I bought a test at the pharmacy and it came back positive. We are so happy. We would love to have a little princess,” she told the outlet.
The resident of the city of Rio Paranaíba announced the “pregnancy” on her TikTok with a video showing the test with a positive result. The post already has more than 390,000 views and 24,500 likes.

In another video, she reveals the entire process until reaching the second “pregnancy”. “Guys, I’ll show you the result… it wasn’t this time. But I will keep trying. Let’s see if this time it worked, if we’re pregnant. It worked out! I’m Pregnant. Too many tries, too long trying. Hopefully it’s a little girl and she’s healthy, that’s what matters.”

Companion in the pandemic
Meirivone Rocha Moraes came under the spotlight of the Brazilian and international media when she married a cloth doll made by her mother. The party, which took place in an event space, in the interior of Minas Gerais, in December 2021, had 250 guests, including relatives and even godparents.
According to the diarist, Marcelo was a request made to his mother, who is a seamstress, during the covid-19 pandemic. Being in quarantine, Meirivone, who is a forró dancer, did not have a partner to dance at parties, which became online. From there came the idea of creating Marcelo.
