Representatives of feminist movements in São Paulo protested, in front of the Consulate General of Spain, in São Paulo, on Friday (4), against the decision of the Catalonia Superior Court of Justice that revoked the conviction of player Daniel Alves for sexual violence.
According to leaders of the movement, the protest began at 7am, with the purpose of denouncing cases of impunity in cases on violence against women and demanding justice for the victim.
The act against Daniel Alves and Spanish justice was peaceful, as well as addressing topics such as victims’ silence, rape culture and complicity of player Neymar, who paid the bail in Catalonia.
“In an attempt to silence the protesters, the Spanish consulate called the Military Police with a slanderous denunciation that the protesters would be throwing ink into the consulate – which never happened,” said the feminist network of jurists in a statement in a statement.
During the protest, representatives and leaders of the main female movements of the state were present, such as the feminist network of jurists, PSOL’s feminist bell, as well as representatives of the agenda in the sports such as Loucas by Ti Corinthians and the collective all powerful Corinthian.
“The feminist movements present consider scandalous acquittal and fear a setback in the applicability of the“ law does not shut up ”and law“ not no ”, in Brazil and Spain, through the disbelief of the population, traders, victims and justice itself, as well as fear increasing underreporting in these types of crime,” concluded the collective.
The protest also demanded that the associations and sports entities comment on the subject.

Neymar da Silva Santos, father of Neymar Jr., confirmed that he helped financially Daniel Alves in his defense in the process he faces in Barcelona, Spain.
The former player paid a bail of 1 million euros (approximately R $ 5.4 million).
The former player confirmed, in a statement, the excessive use of alcohol on the night of the alleged crime, but denied that he committed the woman raped.
