Women in Technology: New Academy for Data Engineering from ReGeneration and EV Greece

To ReGeneration Academy for Women in Data Engineering powered by EY is his new big collaboration ReGeneration and her EY Greece, aimed at reducing the digital divide between the sexes, the equal opportunities in the labor market and integration more young women in organic jobs in technology industry, where they are significantly under-represented.

According to the European Commission’s 2020 Digital Skills Table, Greece ranks 26th, with only 16.4% of women claiming to be skilled professionals working in the field of information technology.

This specialized academy will provide the candidates with knowledge and experience which will make them competitive Data Engineers, thus contributing to one inclusive work ecosystem.

The training program includes an intensive practical training in the theoretical principles and practical dimension of data collection and storage, in the creation of data structures, in the use of databases and implementation of architectural databases, as well as in the export, conversion and uploading of data (Data Integration, ETL) in Data Warehouses.

Commenting on the operation of the academy, Mr. Panagiotis Papazoglou, CEO of EY Greece, said: “At EV, our goal is to create a better working world. Such a vision could only focus on the man himself.
