One worker died and three others were injured in an accident this Thursday afternoon (31), at the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília. Employees of the company Palco Locação worked on setting up the September 7 parade.
The victim who died, Genes Gomes Coelho, 39 years old, fell from a height of about 8 meters, from a metal structure (like a tent). The other three injured in the accident are at the Hospital de Base de Brasília.

According to the Federal District Military Fire Brigade (CBMDF), upon arriving at the scene, the worker was still alive.
Coelho “was treated and transported by the CBMDF to the Hospital de Base de Brasília, presenting with a traumatic brain injury, wound on the left side of the chest and lowering of vital signs. He was in serious condition, unconscious and unstable, ”explained the corporation.
In a note, the Federal Government’s Secretariat for Social Communication (Secom) regretted what happened and informed that the causes of the accident will be duly investigated by the competent bodies.
Secom also stated that it is available to assist in whatever is necessary.
According to firefighters, the other three victims are:
- Jesse Dionisio de Sousa , aged 37, was treated and transported by the CBMDF to the same hospital, presenting with an exposed fracture on his right leg and abrasions on his body. He was conscious, oriented, and unstable.
- Jardelmo Nunes da Silva 35 years old, was attended to and transported by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) to the health unit, but there are no details about the case.
- Maxwell Meira da Silva , 30 years old, who was treated and transported by the CBMDF to the hospital, presenting with a wound on his right leg and pain in his hip. He was conscious, oriented, and unstable.
