A meeting was held on Tuesday at the offices of the Energy Regulatory Authority in Athens between executives of the Greek Authority and the respective Israeli one on the implementation of the EuroAsia Interconnector project for the electrical interconnection of Greece with Cyprus and Israel.
Specifically, from the Greek side, the meeting was attended by the Vice President B ‘of the Authority, Dimitrios Fourlaris, as head of the RAE delegation and Professor Theodoros Tsakiris, as head of the Greek delegation in the tripartite project team for EuroAsia Interconnector. The Israeli side was represented by the Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Authority, Yoav Katsavoy, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Israeli Electricity Network, Shiki Fisher, and the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Strategic Planning.
The meeting also focused on the operation of the electricity markets of the two countries and presented the medium-term and long-term goals that have been set in each country in the context of the energy transition on sustainable terms.
