This Sunday (21st) we celebrate the World Creativity Day and diverse free activities will be held to celebrate the date in São Paulo.
Theater and dance workshops, exhibitions, panels, lectures, conversation circles and documentary screenings are some of the activities that take place on April 19th, 20th and 21st in six neighborhoods in the capital of São Paulo: Butantã, Campo Limpo, Ipiranga, Pinheiros, Santana, Santo Amaro It is Vila Mariana.
The movement is organized by the education and communications company World Creativity Day with the aim of boosting the cities' creativity and innovation ecosystem based on pillars such as learning, entrepreneurship and collaboration, always within the framework of sustainable development.
Created by Lucas Foster in 2014, the date has been part of the official UN calendar since 2017. “Brazilian creativity is applauded in several countries, but it has never been recognized and valued in all its diversity like this year, on World Creativity Day ”, mentions the founder of the project.
Foster also mentions that on April 21st a tribute to the cartoonist Ziraldo , who passed away earlier this month, aged 91. “Menino Maluquinho will continue to serve as a reference for parents, educators and leaders to understand the importance of education and creativity in the development of children and young people for the future”, he states.
The event is organized by the World Creativity Organization, with the institutional support of the City of São Paulo and the Government of the State of São Paulo, in addition to the support of other important entities and people in the community.
Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that this year, the creativity festival is still taking place simultaneously in 55 Brazilian municipalities and the expectation is for 50 thousand participants across the country.
