World premiere of Volkswagen ID.4 GTX – all-wheel drive electric vehicle

The German carmaker Volkswagen has introduced the ID.4 GTX electric crossover, which differs from the existing versions by an all-wheel drive modification. The novelty received two motors: a 150 kW electric motor is installed in the back, and another 70 kW in front. The total power of the engines is 299 hp. True, full power is only available for 30 seconds, after which the electric motors reduce their recoil.

Externally, the ID.4 GTX differs from the base versions with new bumpers and additional running lights in the side sections of the front bumper. Inside, there are more changes: dark interior trim, red stitching on the seats and matching accents. The dashboard top and door inserts are in X-Blue leatherette, while the steering wheel and seats feature GTX logos.

The car comes with 20-inch wheels, but as an option, buyers will be offered 21-inch wheels, adaptive dampers, a sports package with a 15 mm low suspension and progressive steering, and an augmented reality head-up display.

ID.4 GTX can accelerate to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds, and its top speed is 180 km / h. The total battery capacity is 82 kWh, but only 77 kWh is used. The charge should be enough for about 480 km on the WLTP cycle.

In Europe, the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX will arrive this summer. Its initial cost will be 50,400 euros.
