Would you pay almost a thousand reais for a four kilo cake? Value generates debate on networks

A baker shared a video with more than 30 thousand followers showing the process of putting together a R$700 cake – which the client did not agree to pay.

User Jiane Gomes said that she had previously agreed on the cost of the four-kilo cake and that the customer agreed to pay. However, upon seeing the end result, she rethought the agreement and decided to return the candy.

In the video, Jiane shows the cake wet with guaraná, filled with thickened porridge and cornstarch, as well as icing – something very common in the 1990s.

“When she arrived to pick up the cake, she said she didn’t want it because the cake wasn’t worth the price I had charged,” said Jiane. “I told you it was R$700, four kilos. This one weighs more than four kilos”, continued the ballerina.

Even though the customer didn’t take the candy, Jiane managed to sell it to someone else. However, the debate on social media among users was: is the cake worth the price charged or not?

Some argued that one should not price the work of others, especially if it had already been agreed upon previously, while others argued that it was a very simple cake.
