The US government of Donald Trump is considering stopping hospital funding that, as the government claims, provide gender -related treatments to children and adolescents, according to today’s Wall Street Journal report. In May, the centers for the Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) services sent a letter to some hospitals carrying “gender redefinition interventions”, with centers talking about concerns about quality standards and interventions. The CMS asked hospitals to respond within 30 days – a deadline expired last Saturday. In the letter, CMS Commander Dr. Mehmet Oz – the famous doctor appointed by President Trump – said the government would not “close the eyes in procedures that do not have a solid basis for evidence and can cause lifelong damage”.
