WWDC 2024: visionOS 2 will allow you to create space photos; know more

A Apple revealed, this Monday (10), the visionOS 2 for the Apple Vision Pro , your virtual reality device. In this update, it will be possible to create spatial photos from images in the photo library and use simple hand gestures to access important information more easily.

visionOS 2 will enable developers to use new tools to further explore spatial computing. Additionally, it makes it easier to create more volumetric experiences that can be shared.

How will creating space photos work?

Apple Vision Pro space photos add unparalleled depth and realism to your best moments with family and friends. With visionOS 2, you will be able to convert Photos images and 2D images into space photos to relive memories.

Additionally, users will be able to share space photos for others to view on Vision Pro or use SharePlay in the Photos app.

Hand gestures and greater ease

According to Apple, visionOS 2 also plans to simplify and speed up navigation through Apple Vision Pro so that people can access key functions, such as Home View and Control Center, using new hand gestures. New gestures let you check the time, battery level and other important information, adjust the volume and perform other actions in an instant.

Apple Vision Pro in eight new countries

It was also announced that the product, previously restricted to the United States, will reach eight new countries. Starting June 28, Apple Vision Pro will be available in China, Japan and Singapore. On July 12, the virtual reality headset will arrive in Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. In Brazil, there is still no forecast of when the device will be available.
