X Factor 2022: Rkomi is the fourth and final judge

The quartet is finally complete: after Fedez, Ambra Angiolini and Dargen D’Amico, Rkomi will be seated behind the judges’ counter X Factor 2022, icing on the cake of an unprecedented group that, we are sure, will give us satisfaction. Rkomi, stage name of Mirko Manuele Martorana, is one of the most eclectic artists of the new Italian generation: he began to take his first steps in the world of music at just 17 and then gave birth, in 2017, to Me on Earthhis first album.

After the book / EP Oxygena concept project dedicated to her highly original creative process, Rkomi went further by collaborating, in 2019, with Elisa and giving life, in Where the eyes do not reachhis second album recorded between Italy and South Africa, to many collaborations that involved, among others, Sfera Ebbasta, Ghali, Carl Brave, Dardust and Jovanotti, which hosted Rkomi on the stage of the last great Jova Beach Party at Milan Linate. After Taxi Driver, released in 2021 and endowed with a new freshness, capable of combining rap writing with the most refined songwriters, the big opportunity came at the Sanremo Festival, when Rkomi, in addition to showing off a pretty good fit, gave the audience the song Unsurpassed.

In short, for its new edition, X Factor chooses to redo his look by relying on a veteran like Fedez, a legend like Ambra Angiolini and two fresh bets from Sanremo like Dargen D’Amico and Rkomi, both very friends of Fedez. The Sky Original talent show produced by Fremantle will arrive in September on Sky and streaming on NOWalthough the work of the judges will begin in June, with the recordings of the Auditions which, this year, are once again a great event with the public in attendance (the appointment is on 4, 5, 7, 8 and 12 June at the Allianz Cloud in Milan).
