X Factor 2024: the first episode of the auditions reveals a fun and close-knit jury, but raises a doubt

If you have seen the latest editions of X Factor, you will have certainly realized that behind the judges’ desk reigned an unprecedented tension, dictated by nervousness, antipathies and competition. All feelings that, in this first episode of auditions, seem like a distant memory since, more than ever this year, It seems that the judges of X Factor they really enjoy themselves because they are aware that it is only through chemistry and synergy that music can shine. The first to understand this is Manuel Agnelli, the veteran, the most perfect in television timesalways with a joke ready, but also Jake The Furywho after participating in various programs such as Carpool Karaoke on the generalist, it seems to have finally found its most appropriate dimension: that big guy who tones things down and lightens the air as soon as it senses that it is becoming heavy.

They defend themselves very well Paola Iezzithe only woman behind the counter, champion of sweetness and technique – Paola, in fact, demonstrates that she has a very broad musical culture that few would have imagined -, and Achilles Laurowhich, at least at the beginning of this X Factorstill seems intent on studying his colleagues and the program to actually understand what contribution he can give. Beyond the judges and the empathy they create between them and the contestants who take turns at the center of the stage, we cannot fail to fully report Giorgia’s promotion as host. Leaving aside the fact that she would have been an extraordinary judge even if, as she herself said in the press conference, she would have had a hard time saying yes and no in front of the contestants, Giorgia X Factor it shows itself a perfect hostessfollowing the same path traced by Francesca Michielin.

Easy-going, friendly, capable of reassuring potential competitors as it can – wonderful the moment in which she explains to a girl that the emotion before a performance does not pass with time but, on the contrary, gets worse -, Giorgia proves to be a very good purchase, both in dictating the rhythm of the program and in managing the judges. As for the contestants, we must say that also this time the level of the program ibroadcast every Thursday exclusively on Sky Uno and streaming on NOW is tall. The one who will remain in our hearts – for now – is the young sixteen year old Lorenzodisheveled curls and clear voice; the Roman group Dimension Brama (which, however, did not convince Manuel Agnelli despite the overflowing charisma of the frontman), and the sweet Daniela DiCiccowhich with Creep by Radiohead literally gave us the shivers. Beyond all that, one question remains open: Is it right or wrong that aspiring contestants of X Factor decide to replace their own verses with those of timeless songs? In our opinion, a little experimentation, when done wisely, could even have a reason to exist, as long as one does not decide to destroy a masterpiece for the benefit of a certain dose of narcissism.
