xAI will release a new version of the chatbot Grok-1.5

Elon Musk's company xAI announced an updated version of the large language model Grok-1.5.

According to the press release, the chatbot's capabilities will be close in performance to open and closed L.L.M.including GPT-4 from OpenAI and Claude 3 from Anthropic.

Elon Musk noted that Grok-1.5 will become available on the X platform. The next neural network model is already at the training stage. According to him, it will be able to “outperform current AI in all respects,” but did not specify a release date.

The company expects Grok-1.5 to be better than the previous model in many tests, including programming and math.

“Grok-1.5 scored 50.6% in MATH and 90% in GSM8K, two math benchmarks covering a wide range of competitive problems for high school and high school students. She also scored 74.1% on HumanEval, which assesses code generation and problem solving abilities,” xAI noted in a blog post.

In the MMLU test, which evaluates the ability of AI models to understand language for various tasks, the new model scored 81.3%, significantly ahead of its predecessor with 73%.

xAI also reported that Grok-1.5 has a context window of up to 128,000 tokens. It allows the model to perceive and process large amounts of information at a time – 16 times more than Grok-1. This makes it suitable for analyzing, summarizing, and extracting information from long documents.

According to the company, the new AI model will initially be available to testers and those already using Grok on Platform X. The rollout will happen in stages: the company will improve the chatbot and introduce several new features. It will gradually become available to a wider range of users.
