Xbox One Owners Don't Need To Buy Xbox Series X / S: New Games Will Run On An Eight Year Old Console

Until now, Microsoft has described xCloud on consoles as just a way for players to “try out games before downloading,” but the company has decided to change its approach. Microsoft originally announced Microsoft Flight Simulator as an Xbox One game, but then quietly removed references to an Xbox One launch in December. Microsoft recently confirmed that Flight Simulator will launch on Xbox Series X / S consoles on July 27th.

It’s unclear when xCloud game streaming will be available on Xbox One consoles. This should definitely happen this year, but the service is unlikely to be launched by the July launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
