Xiaomi today officially unveiled the 11 Lite 5G NE smartphone, the successor to the April Mi 11 Lite 5G. There are two innovations here: firstly, there is no longer Mi in the name – all new smartphones of the company come out without this legendary brand. Secondly, the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC has been replaced with the 6nm Snapdragon 778G. It is slightly slower in benchmarks, but so much so that you hardly notice it. Otherwise, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE (NE stands for New Edition) is no different from Mi 11 Lite 5G.
Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE retains the status of the lightest smartphone with 5G support and a battery with a capacity of more than 4000 mAh: the device is 6.81 mm thick and weighs 159 grams. It received a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution with a frame rate of 90 Hz, a 20-megapixel front camera, a main camera with 64, 8 and 5 megapixel sensors.
The amount of RAM is 6 or 8 GB, the amount of built-in flash memory is 128 or 256 GB. Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 interface, battery capacity – 4250 mAh, 33W fast wired charging is supported. Other features of the model include a side fingerprint scanner, NFC, dust and water protection in accordance with the IP53 degree.
The recommended retail price of the new item is 370 euros for the version with 6/128 GB of memory and 400 euros for the version with 8/256 GB. There are four color options: black, blue, pink and white.
