The well-known network insider Digital Chat Station announced that the next flagship smartphone from Xiaomi will be equipped with the main image sensor Samsung ISOCELL HP1 with a resolution of 200 MP, as well as a 50 MP sensor in the wide-angle camera.
The source also added that Xiaomi will continue to install 108MP and 64MP image sensors in its mid-range and high-end smartphones. These image sensors are the most popular on the market today, although they are not used in the best Huawei camera phones or iPhones.
The first Xiaomi smartphone with a 200MP camera is expected to be the Xiaomi 12, which is expected to be announced at the end of the year. Such a sensor can be used in the older model of the line, while the younger one may well get a 50-megapixel sensor. It is rumored that one of the Xiaomi 12 models will receive three image sensors with a resolution of 50 megapixels.
Another feature of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series devices may be super slow motion shooting at 1920 frames per second. At this stage, the company is only testing this function, and so far there is no complete confidence that it will actually be implemented in future flagships.
Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of the Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
