Xiaomi today released new details about the Redmi K50 flagships debuting on March 17th. This time they were called the industry’s first smartphones to support Bluetooth 5.3 wireless interface. The company focuses on support for the LC3 codec from the Bluetooth LE Audio technologies. The LC3 delivers much better sound quality than the common SBC.

At the same time, there should be less delay in transmitting sound to audio devices, lower power consumption and higher resistance to interference. The company also noted that Redmi K50 has not lost such traditional “amenities” as NFC and IR emitter. The list mentions a dual-band GPS receiver and a powerful vibration motor, but this is hardly surprising.

Recall, on March 17, Xiaomi will introduce three models of the series: K50 based on SoC Snapdragon 870, K50 Pro with SoC Dimensity 8100 and K50 Pro +, based on Dimensity 9000. For older models, a 108-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization has already been confirmed.
