Counterpoint Research has published a report on the situation in the Russian online smartphone market, which was led by Xiaomi in the fourth quarter of last year.
Total smartphone sales in Russia in the fourth quarter of 2020 decreased by 11%, in particular due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, online sales were up 1% quarter-on-quarter and accounted for 35% of total smartphone sales.

Xiaomi has gained 31% of the online smartphone market in Russia. The second place went to Samsung with 27%, the third went to Apple, which took 15.5% of the market. Huawei, which a year ago led the online smartphone market in Russia, was only able to take fourth position, while the company’s position continues to deteriorate.
In modern realities, Huawei has to think about how to live on. In the morning, we reported that Huawei has launched a smart pig farming program using modern technology. The company also plans to develop coal mining, metallurgy, music content, smart screens, PCs and tablets.
Summing up, Counterpoint Deputy Director Tarun Pathak noted that smartphone users are more likely to prefer NFC, OLED and eSIM, with the average selling price of smartphones growing 8% year on year to $ 258.

The iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone 12 Pro Max were the top-selling online platforms in terms of revenue, while the Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A were the top-selling models in terms of shipments.
