Analyst agency Counterpoint ranked the best-selling smartwatch brands in the first quarter of 2022. Compared to the same period in 2021, among the eight most successful companies, only Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi achieved success – with the latter setting a personal best, taking fourth place in the ranking. The smartwatch market itself has grown by 13% in a year.
The share of Apple Watch sales grew by 14% due to the postponement of some deliveries of the Apple Watch Series 7 to 2022 and the high loyalty of iPhone owners. Samsung solidly settled into second place with a 46% increase in shipments thanks in large part to the popularity of the Galaxy Watch 4 series in Asia Pacific. Xiaomi, on the other hand, beats its own records every quarter and has already taken fourth place (+69%), most of the sales are in the sub-$100 segment.

In terms of deliveries, Huawei has the same figures, but due to the success of competitors, its share has decreased. In turn, Garmin ranked fifth in sales, but is ranked third in revenue – all thanks to the fact that the company specializes in the premium segment above $ 500. Amazfit has maintained its market share thanks to the successful GTR 3 and GTS 3, and the brand has also been helped by the expansion of European markets – the company is trying to develop outside of China.
